If you live on a canal, it is crucial that you are aware of the maintenance obligations for your revetment wall. Maintenance is generally not expensive, but without proactive care, small issues can lead to very expensive problems. We provide maintenance services all across Southeast Queensland.

Water naturally builds up in the soil behind canal walls. Drainage like weepholes is critical to relieve pressure. However, drainage can become blocked by sediment, debris, or marine life.
Without maintenance, small issues can lead to cracking, erosion, subsidence, and wall failure. Most wall failures are gradual and preventable when addressed early. Protect your land and avoid costly repairs!
We are tooled to provide all services required to maintain your revetment wall. We provide services only to match what is required based on your specific wall condition. Our capabilities include:
All of our work is executed through quotation, in discussion with our clients. We do not undertake work that doesn't need to be done, and we work hard to provide price certainty to our clients. Our process:
Requirements for maintenance of revetment walls for canal properties are set by local council or body corporate regulations. Historically councils (or bodies corporate) have been responsible, but more recently is now commonplace for wall maintenance to sit with landholders.
In the fullness of time, walls without adequate maintenance are prone to collapse into the water, as a result of prolonged hydrostatic pressure against the wall from the landside. This could mean damage to your land, your neighbours' land, and potentially the council's marine environment within your quayline (all of that is expensive!). In the meantime, ground subsidence and wall displacement are common implications of problems behind the wall.
In short, by preserving a passage for water flow between the water and landsides of the wall (such that there is no hydrostatic pressure on the wall as the tide rises and falls) and by keeping wall joints in working order. This means replacing plugs, seals, and joints, and ensuring all passages are clean of debris and marine life. Aesthetically we also clean walls (to well-below the high tide mark) to enhance visual appearance
We have been working on the water for more than 30 years, and we are familiar with most canals in Southeast Queensland. The same expertise and attention to detail that underpins our pontoon fabrication and installation is what we bring to our maintenance work. We do not consider a project to be complete until we have 100% client satisfaction.
Absolutely not. We provide clear quotations to enable our customers to make informed choices about their wall maintenance. We also do not have any long-term obligations for our clients.
We have the equipment and expertise to replace walls (including with innovative polymer tracks and formwork), but it is an absolute last resort. In most cases, wall reinforcement and corrective works are sufficient to re-work even the most fatigued walls.
